This year, along with Mission Campaign Director Mica Keeney, I won first place in the PR category.
About the Project

Create a strategic plan to build awareness of CureSearch, a non-profit organization committed to ending childhood cancer.
THE CRITERIA

25% strategy
25% execution

OUR PROPOSAL
To emphasize the disparity of progress made in children’s cancer treatment compared to other areas in the past 30 years, we would launch a campaign called It’s Not 1989 Anymore, partnering CureSearch with beloved consumer good companies to re-release their most iconic 80s products, with 100% of profits going to the charity.
The Outcome
This Project Exemplifies
How creativity can be used to educate and disrupt a category
What We Achieved
Out of hundreds of submissions from across the country,
Mica and I made it to the Top 5 Finalist round.
From there, we presented live (via Zoom) to CureSearch stakeholders and a panel of notable industry judges to take home the winning title of 1st place in the U.S. PR category.
Why It Mattered
Beyond receiving one of our industry’s highest honors, Mica and I will now take our skills to the global stage, competing against other participating countries this May for the international title.
