Every year, the Cannes Lions hosts the Young Lions Competition. Open to active agency employees under the age of 30, the competition invites the best creative teams in the world to go "head-to-head in a global creative shoot-out." This year, along with Mission Campaign Director Mica Keeney, I won first place in the PR category.

OUR PROPOSAL

To emphasize the disparity of progress made in children’s cancer treatment compared to other areas in the past 30 years, we would launch a campaign called It’s Not 1989 Anymore, partnering CureSearch with beloved consumer good companies to re-release their most iconic 80s products, with 100% of profits going to the charity.

What We Achieved

Out of hundreds of submissions from across the country,
Mica and I made it to the Top 5 Finalist round.

From there, we presented live (via Zoom) to CureSearch stakeholders and a panel of notable industry judges to take home the winning title of 1st place in the U.S. PR category.

Why It Mattered

Beyond receiving one of our industry’s highest honors, Mica and I will now take our skills to the global stage, competing against other participating countries this May for the international title.
